Dr Susan Rankine qualified from University College Hospital in 1983. She is married with three teenage children and lives in Westminster. After finishing her vocational training scheme which covered many different hospital specialities, she worked in Accident and Emergency before joining the practice in 1990. She enjoys living and working in the heart of London and going to the many cinema, opera, theatre and art galleries that are on the doorstep!

Special Interests: Maternal and Child Health, Hormone Replacement Therapy, Family Planning and care of the Homeless.

Dr Alexander has been working in the practice since 1999. She qualified from St Mary’s Hospital, London and developed a keen interest in Rheumatology before starting her General Practice training. She is clinical lead for pharmacy and medicines and looks after Norton House rehabilitation unit.

Special interests: Pharmacy and medicines, anticoagulation and occupational medicine.

Dr Ash Thakore qualified from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1999 and has been a partner in the practice since 2003. He is clinical lead for the care of patients with cardiac disease and diabetes. He runs specialised in-house clinics for these patients weekly. He also performs minor surgical procedures at Victoria Medical Centre and has a special interest in Occupational Health.

Special Interests: Cardiovascular disease, Diabetes, Minor Surgery.

Dr Nguyen qualified in 1995 and has been a partner since 2004. He has a special interest in medical acupuncture, complimentary medicine, musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory medicine and minor surgery. He runs the Asthma and Chronic Airways Disease Clinic which is held once a week. At these clinics he offers respiratory management as well as spirometry testing for lung function.

Special interests: Lung function, musculoskeletal disease, palliative care.

Dr Grant qualified in 1969 from Westminster Hospital Medical School. She worked at the Westminster for two years before going to Southampton where she worked in a variety of specialities before entering General Practice in 1974. She moved to Cambridge where she developed a particular interest in women’s health and taught Family Planning at Addenbrookes’. She moved back to this area in 2004.
Dr Grant is married to a lawyer and has three grown-up children. Her interests are cooking and eating well, opera and reading. Her passion is her garden in the South of France.

Special interests: Women’s health, child health, family planning.

Dr Carol TangDr Carol Tang MBBCh (1998) MRCP MRCGP DFFP

Dr Tang qualified from the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 1998. She then worked as a hospital doctor, while training in general medicine and then in oncology, until 2006. She joined the practice after becoming a fully qualified GP in August 2007.

Our Practice nurses are able to carry out blood testing, ear syringing, travel vaccination, childhood immunisation, dressings, blood pressure checks, spirometry, cervical smears, as well as family planning and urine testing. They can give advice on diet, smoking cessation and minor ailments and help run the various clinics offered by the surgery.

Other staff

Link Worker for the Elderly

Mrs Alex Johnson Alex Johnson
Our Link worker offers general assessment visits to our 75 and over age group once a year but more often if needed. She can arrange home care, equipment for safer living, benefit checks and local information on clubs, drop-in centres etc. Alex also welcomes discussion on any other pressing non-medical needs. During the visit she is also able to do blood pressure checks.

Mental Health Liaison Nurse

Chantal Revans visits the practice on Tuesdays for 1 hour booked consultations. She is linked to the Community Mental Health Team locally and can refer patients for psychiatric  or other intervention as necessary.

Practice Counsellor

Liz Greenway is our practice counsellor.

Acupuncturist

Cecil Chen F.B.Ac.C.
Cecil is from Shanghai in China. He qualified in acupuncture in the Far East and UK and has been in practice since 1968. He is interested in using acupuncture with mainstream medicine and is involved in education and personal development.

He practices acupuncture at Victoria Medical Centre on Fridays and at other times at Warwick Pharmacy in Pimlico as well as Haywards Heath in West Sussex.
